Malaga Airport to Estepona

Estepona

The Garden of the Costa del Sol

Next to Marbella we find Estepona, in a strategic enclave for tourism between the airports of Malaga and Gibraltar. Its great extension gives us a wide variety of options: mountain, beach, outdoor sports, museums, parks of interest, culture in the historic center, and a walk through the most traditional zone, among the streets of the neighbors of all the lifetime. In addition, Estepona has carried out a very remarkable renovation in every way and can boast of being one of the most modernized cities in southern Europe, with the sights set on the future.

This seafaring city has 23 kilometers of coastline, linked by a coastal path that make the trip a must for visitors. Seventeen beaches bathe its coast, sandy and low tide that can boast of being fully equipped and, in many cases, adapted to people with reduced mobility. With so much amplitude, the option of practicing numerous water sports does not escape. Estepona also has a great first-class marina, next to the traditional fishing port. In this area, tourists and locals enjoy the famous Sunday Market.

Estepona is located under the shelter of Sierra Bermeja, which has been declared a Natural Area. The province of Malaga is one of the most mountainous in Spain, and Estepona is largely to blame for this. It is very common to find hikers walking the Paseo de los Pinsapos, one of the claims because it is located at the summit. From here you can see a fantastic panoramic view of the whole coast of Malaga, part of Cádiz, the Rock of Gibraltar and, if the weather conditions permit, also the coast of Morocco.

The Garden of the Costa del Sol

In the city there are more than 14 kilometers of pedestrian streets, happily decorated with thousands of typical Andalusian flowers that have earned Estepona the nickname of “The Garden of the Costa del Sol”. Following this line, a highly recommended visit is the Botanical Park, with special interest to the Orquidario, one of the most important in Spain. Nature lovers can complete the visit with Selwo Adventure Park, a space for the conservation of animals and plants, with numerous activities for adults and children.
